Seriously, where has the time gone?? He was just my newborn infant and now he is a running, talking, intelligent, athletic, tender hearted individual who turned 3 years old today!! He has grown up so much in the last year and I am such a proud mama.
Honestly I don't even know where to start with this child. He is my firstborn. The bond I share with Sawyer is unexplainable. His resilience and spirit is inspiring to watch and he truly is turning into the most special little boy.
He is obedient. He is a rule follower (most of the time). He is a snuggler; a lover by nature. He has manners. He cares about others. He is broken hearted when others are hurting. He absolutely adores other kids and other people. He makes friends super easily and has really become such a sweet friend (most of the time). He is curious about everything and soaking up everything we teach him.
Sawyer is athletic. He can hit a baseball across the fence, throw a football across the yard and catch anything that comes his way. He loves to play outside. Loves to read books for as long as I will sit down with him. He could play chase for hours. He still has an intense gusto for life every day. He is intense with everything he does which we started observing back when he was brooklyn's age.
Sawyer melts my heart daily with the things he tells me. "I love you so much mama", "I missed you mama", "Thank you so much for lunch mama", "I love baby brooklyn mama". It makes me so proud.
He is not perfect and I do not expect him to ever be perfect but as he grows older each day he I feel like I am disciplining him less and less and enjoying every minute with him more and more. He is growing up.
His third birthday is so bittersweet b/c I'm not ready for my baby to be a big boy. I can't believe he is already three. I'm cherishing these days at home with him that I know are soon going to be a distant memory. My days at home with him are so sweet and honestly I could not feel more blessed to be able to call him my son.
Happy Birthday to my precious boy. I love you so much Sawyer Henry!
