With Sawyer and I both being at home ALL the time, toys have become pretty important to me. Every mom can relate to those toys that your kids are excited about for about two seconds and then they are added to your stash of toys that are never touched again. I feel like that has happened way to often in this household. That is why I felt impelled to pass along a few of our favorite toys right now that we have actually gotten hours of playtime out of. The kicker.. a few of these toys I actually really enjoy playing with too. Since I have a toddler who isn't the best at playing independently it helps when I actually enjoy the toy too.
I love playing with these wedgits. You can build a million different things with wedgits. In my opinion, they are kind of like a cooler version of legos.
Sawyer loves his design and drill. It comes with an electric drill that electronically drills the screws into this box.
This is another one I find pretty fun. I would say this toy has gotten the most attention from Sawyer. It's easy enough for a 2 year old to build and you can design all sorts of fun things with them.
We are both obsessed with puzzles right now and this set comes with 4 puzzles in one box. We do these about three times a day and I actually enjoy doing them too.
Lastly his Mickey Mouse Scooter that Santa brought. We have hardwoods throughout the entire house so we have let him ride in the house. He rides it everywhere. It's only 33$ and it has lights and sounds and seems really sturdy so far.
If you have 2-4 year old boys I hope this provided some helpful hints on some fun new toys. I would love to hear if you have any other toys that your boys love!
Happy Thursday!

I have a 2.5 year old and this is a life saver. Its durable and "big pieces" that are way easier to handle and can't find their way into our 6 months old throat. And its not very expensive. In my opinion a perfect starter train because for us anyway we just aren't ready for the big wooden set. He needs to be a bit older but loves himself a train and construction site.

is Sawyer into cars yet--little cars like Hot Wheels? Noah was around his age or a bit younger when he got into them and they are still the one thing that keeps him entertained the most. Except now he's gotten all snobby and only likes Cars (the movie) ones, so thanks to eBay we collect them. Hot Wheels makes all kinds of cool tracks and he stays entertained building new set-ups or just racing his cars around the coffee table and on the floor. Cars are nice too because you can always get new ones (for under $2) for little treats, stocking stuffers, Easter basket stuffers, potty rewards, etc etc.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah we have about 80 hot wheel cars and tractors. We have a lot of fun with those too. He went through a major phase with them where that was all he played with but now he is into other things more. I need to find some cool tracks and maybe a garage for them all though. Change it up a little for him. We definitely have trains and cars galore at this house. I wanted to post about some different toys that people may not know about. But Thanks girls for the ideas, keep them coming!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this!! It will come in handy before too long. : )
