DIY Tuesday

I love coming across an idea that is not only doable but also a project that is one of a kind. Here are a few DIY creations that I have run across recently.

Love, Love, Love this table runner that Ashley crafted herself. Visit Ashley's blog HERE to see full instructions.

How cute is this?! Ashley made this out of an old basket sitting in a corner of a room in her home. Brilliant! See how she did it HERE!

I love this fabric tape! This could come into use for all kinds of things... Cute packages you need to send, use it around a glass vase to jazz it up, cute gift tags, the list could go on. Go to Anne Kata blog for the tutorial.

There are millions of fun crafty creations that are so inspiring. If you have an idea or have seen something that is worth showing, please send it my way!

Fashion Friday: A Fashion Addiction

Anyone watch Rachel Zoe on Bravo?! I am a new obsessed addicted watcher of the show. I love her style I love watching her manage a huge fashion empire that she has created from the ground up. Her life is so fascinating to me and I definitely get my fashion addiction fed through this show ;).

Rachel wore this outfit to a Donna Karen fashion show in her show on Tuesday and I absolutely adore it! I probably couldn't pull off the over the knee boots but I think they look so good on her. Some of the items that are listed below are super expensive but when I went to look at the links today, a lot of them are half off now (the purse is actually 80% off right now!).

Ya'll have a Happy Friday and a Great weekend!!!

Orange, Orange, Orange...

Just a little Orange inspiration to end out our week. I love orange right now because it is a summery color but also obviously transitions any party right into the Fall Season. I just love this inspiration board, makes me want to throw an all out orange party right now! Happy Friday Friends!

Sawyer's favorite Book

Someone else likes the Bible too! Ha! Andrew does his quiet time on our couch in the morning with this little Bible and always leaves it on the side table. Sawyer sits and takes a little read many mornings and surprisingly doesn't tear the pages (yet..).

Ya'll have a good Thursday!

Neutral Inspiration

I gave you some colorful inspiration last week that I loved, but this week I came across a designer that uses neutral palettes in the most beautiful way! I love her work and love, love, love these rooms. See what you think...

Aren't these rooms soothing? I think they are gorgeous. What do you think? Do you like neutral colors or is this too boring for you?

Featured Party: Beeeautiful!

I got an email from Kim who I worked with for the 60th Birthday Luncheon. She works with Simply the Best Catering in Little Rock. She just threw her daughter's first birthday in HIGH STYLE! I loved the dessert table and adored all the details that she put into the party. Take a look..

Isn't this a beautiful dessert table?! She did a fabulous job.... I LOVE the flower arrangements and the cake is to die for!

GiGi's Cake Boutique in North Little Rock is responsible for this amazing cake.

Kim downloaded printables from Tom Kat Studio for her cupcake toppers. So cute!

Adorable personalized cups for the kiddos.

Must of been one fun party. Look at this precious face!

Great job Kim! Thanks so much for sharing your amazing talent with us!

Playdates Galore!

We are trying to make the most of these hot summer days.. We have had a few playdates lately that have been so much fun. Last week there were two days that the temperature was actually under 90 degrees so I met two of my friends (Mindy and Abra) and their babies(Tallis and Lyla) for lunch and play at Wilson's Park. We had the greatest time!

Checking each other out

Can you tell he loves the slide?

Tallis and Sawyer

Helping miss Lyla get down the slide :)

He looks like he's up to no good in this picture. Probably was up to something mischievous.

One of my friends moved back to Fayetteville from being in Texas for the last few years. She has a little girl named Cilla who is only one month older than Sawyer. Sawyer was an absolute MESS this day but we still had fun! So glad to have her back and hang out with her more. Cilla is an absolute DOLL!

Sawyer trying to give Cilla kisses and she totally rejects him! Her Daddy would be proud :)

Rejected again! I am obsessed with this picture.

Thankful for girls who are in the same phase of life, makes my days at home with Sawyer so much sweeter when we have something to do with fun friends.

Ya'll have a great Tuesday!

Yummy Monday: Houseboat Recap and Sesame Asparagus

We just got back from the Mary Lee Houseboat with Andrew's family. We go every summer and usually go more than once but sadly this summer this was the only trip we could all make. We have been looking forward to it all summer! We had so much fun hanging out with the family and catching up. Sawyer had SOOO much fun, he was a delight all weekend and the trip was surprisingly easy with a 16 month old on a houseboat for two days (Thank goodness b/c I was worried). Here is a recap of our weekend.

Getting our sunglasses ready and packing up for a weekend of sunshine :)

This is The "Mary Lee" not so bad right?! We love it!

Sumo lifejacket.. :)

He loved laying with mama in the raft. We soaked up some rays together. (And of course threw rocks into the water, we do have a boy on our hands )

Reading time with Grandmama

Cousin Will showing off his fish he caught, Sawyer was intrigued!

He could ride on a boat all day long.. loves it!

A little beach time with daddy.

Heaven... Relaxing with my baby!

Snuggling with Aunt Sarah :)

Family time

Time to GO... :( Daddy giving Sawyer the Royal treatment and carrying him on the cooler. (It didn't last long)

FUN WEEKEND!!

My mother in law made a simple dish this weekend that I have been craving ever since!

Sesame Asparagus
- bundle of Asparagus
- 4 TB Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Generous amount of sesame Seeds
- Salt and Pepper to taste

- cut the ends of the Asparagus off and spread out on a baking sheet.
- sprinkle olive oil all over evenly
- sprinkle the seseame seeds evenly over all the asparagus and then add salt and pepper
- bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.

ENJOY this fresh and healthy side dish!

Featured Party: Bright Nesting Shower

One of my friends, Julee, put together an adorable shower for one of her good friends. The hostesses thought out so many details and truly made the event so special for the mommy.

These invitations are absolutely DIVINE! I am obsessed! Leslie with Girrafic Arts designed the invitation.

Rick's Bakery here in Fayetteville did a fabulous job with the cake. I think it could not be cuter!

This food table so gorgeous! I love how everything was thought out to perfection. Here is a closer look at the food...

You all did a great job Julee! Loved the colors, the theme and all of the cute details. Thanks for letting me share!
